Mounting & Laminating

At Iris Colour, we have a range of presentation options to suit your tastes and specific requirements. We have a combination of skilled staff, mounting and laminating presses, lots of layout space to facilitate almost any graphic display requirement.

Wraps:
For distinctive professional look.

For either Lightjet digital master prints or canvas images. This is where we wrap your image around the outside

of an MDF substrate. Whether you include your image content as bleed for your wrap, or choose to use black is your choice.

Eyelets:

Keeping it simple

A really popular yet simple method of presentation. Your image is laminated for strength and protection and then we place eyelets in the four corners. Your image can be fixed by either pins or ties.

Loops & Rods:

Great for vertical images

A great way to hang your images, especially verticals. We create adhesed loops at the top and bottom of your laminated image together with dowel rods, already for hanging. If you prefer, you can make your own "turned” rods, use steel, plastic... the choice is yours.

Acrylic Cover Sheets:

A sleek way to go

Another sleek option.... we mount your image to MDF and then fit
a sheet of 4.5mm clear acrylic over the top. The acrylic is spaced
off the image with brushed steel fittings - then capped screws
attach your image to the wall.

Split Battens:

for professional easy installation

Instead of just screwing your image to the wall, consider split battens. One half of the batten is attached to your MDF mount substrate, the other half is attached to the wall. The battens have 45 degree opposing angles so the two battens just slot together and your image is lifted away from the wall to add impact.

Lamination:
This process protects the surface
of your graphics. An optically
clear film is adhered to the graphic image. This 'seal' has a UV light inhibitor, and eliminates moisture,
dust and sticky fingers from the image! Lamination films are available in matt, gloss and anti-scuff.
Each laminate presents the image slightly differently – we can
advise or provide a sample.

Encapsulation:
This process gives protection to
both sides of the print. The print
is totally sealed and is ideal for menus, posters, charts and many external applications.

Mounting:
This process permanently glues the print to a display board / surface.
These materials are chosen to suit
the particular display application:
We can mount up to 2000mm wide
on a variety of materials including

Materials:
Card
Flexible PVC
MDF
Rigid PVC / Foamex
Lighweight Foam board

Other mounting materials include: Aluminium, Di-bond (an exterior signage product), Acrylic, Perspex, Glass or indeed anything that is flat, up to 25mm thick and less than 2000mm wide!
